About the role
- Full-stack engineer building scalable PHP/Laravel and Vue.js systems for Felix’s digital healthcare platform. Improving reliability, developing AI workflows, and delivering patient-care experiences across Canada.
Responsibilities
- Build back-end and front-end systems, including architectural patterns, technical specifications, designs, and database management
- Write code and build software that supports scaling as Felix launches new products, enters new markets, and expands healthcare categories
- Build AI workflows with LLMs and use AI tooling to accelerate development and automate internal processes
- Improve platform reliability through rigorous testing, observability, and monitoring
- Identify areas for system optimization and improvement
- Manage communication flows between all levels of the stack
- Establish sound engineering practices and frameworks
- Mentor junior team members
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product and design teams to deliver healthcare products and experiences
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a full-stack software engineer building scalable web applications
- Familiarity with PHP/Laravel, JavaScript, and Vue
- Drive to stay current with ongoing technology changes and advancements
- Leadership skills in unblocking and leading development teams
- Clear communication of technical concepts
- Ability to collaborate with Product
- Comfort with ambiguity and ability to create clarity
- Eagerness to problem solve and move projects and the team forward
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
