About the role

  • Business Analyst improving Finning Canada's enterprise systems and business processes. Translating requirements, testing solutions, and delivering data insights across Canadian and global operations.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand needs, challenges, and opportunities for improvement
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements and translate them into functional specifications
  • Evaluate existing business processes and recommend system enhancements aligned with organizational goals
  • Support enterprise system implementations, upgrades, releases, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead or participate in testing activities, including validation of vendor-delivered enhancements and system changes
  • Troubleshoot system, workflow, and data issues while providing effective, timely solutions
  • Develop reports, dashboards, audits, and data insights to support operational and strategic decision-making
  • Maintain business process documentation, support materials, and system procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system performance, security, compliance, and data integrity
  • Support change management activities and ensure adherence to established governance and change-control processes
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Canada and Finning's global operations

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Business or a related field
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Business Analysis, business systems, digital transformation, enterprise applications, or related analytical roles
  • Experience working with enterprise business systems and translating business requirements into technical solutions
  • Experience performing system testing, validation, troubleshooting, and process analysis
  • Knowledge of system testing, UAT, validation, defect management, and quality assurance practices
  • Experience with AI-enabled solutions, automation technologies, or digital workplace tools is considered an asset
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to present information to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong organizational and project coordination abilities, with a track record of managing multiple priorities
  • A collaborative, customer-focused approach and a commitment to continuous improvement
