About the role

Application Software Developer for Android enhancing the Intelligent Voice Assistant at Ford. Integrating advanced technologies for a multimodal interface while collaborating with Product Managers and designers.

Responsibilities

Design and implement the UI layer of the Intelligent Voice Assistant using Jetpack Compose
Utilize Rive to create interactive animations that respond in real-time to voice triggers
Maintain a clean, scalable codebase using MVVM or MVI
Ensure the UI is responsive, stable, and performant under vehicle hardware constraints
Work closely with VUI designers, AI engineers, and Product Managers
Stay at the forefront of Android development, prototyping new ways for drivers to interact with AI safely

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
Minimum 4 years of professional Android development experience with a deep understanding of the Android SDK and Kotlin
Minimum 2 years experience with Jetpack Compose
Mastery of MVVM and a solid understanding of Clean Architecture, Dependency Injection (Hilt/Dagger), and Coroutines/Flow for asynchronous state management
Experience consuming RESTful APIs and handling real-time data streams (WebSockets or WebRTC)
Proven experience integrating Rive or similar animation tools into production applications (preferred)
Familiarity with Agile development processes (preferred)
Excellent communication skills
