Responsibilities
Review and understand requirements for manufacturing tests
Investigate software solutions for hardware design validation in cooperation with hardware and software team members
Design, develop, and test manufacturing software to meet requirements
Perform hardware/software technical debugging, troubleshooting, and log analysis to determine causes of manufacturing failures
Fix bugs and make configuration changes to resolve analyzed problems
Support functional testing of electronic control units at factories
Support automated reliability testing for hardware design verification in lab environments
Collaborate with local and remote team members and other Ford groups
Provide direct on-site support at factory locations as needed
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field of study
2-3 years' experience working with TestStand
2-3 years' experience developing with C# (executables / library development)
Experience in object-oriented programming design principles and patterns
Ability to read and interpret hardware schematics
Experience with wireless technologies including GSM, LTE, GPS, NFC, Bluetooth, and WLAN
Experience developing software for hardware testing using measurement equipment such as power supplies, DAQs, and DMMs
Experience with hardware debugging
Experience with Qualcomm tools
Experience in manufacturing and support of test software for manufacturing
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with time-critical projects
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Legally entitled to work in Canada; Ford does not sponsor work permit applications
Proof of degree completion required; foreign degrees require an Education Credential Assessment showing Canadian equivalency
