About the role

  • Staff Product Designer shaping Fulfillment IQ’s Workbench decision-intelligence platform for warehouse and fulfillment design. Owning research, UX/UI, design systems, and product direction.

Responsibilities

  • Own the design of Workbench, a decision-intelligence platform for warehouse and fulfillment system design
  • Lead design end-to-end from early concept and user research through wireframes, prototypes, and production-ready UI
  • Set design direction for ambiguous, early-stage problems from first principles
  • Plan and run user interviews, synthesize findings, and translate insights into actionable design decisions
  • Map user journeys and flows, build wireframes and prototypes, and iterate through feedback and usability testing
  • Create polished, high-fidelity visual designs that are consistent, accessible, and on-brand
  • Own and evolve the design system for a web-first engineering tool, including component architecture and interaction patterns
  • Partner with product managers and engineers through concept, implementation, and QA
  • Build interactive prototypes to validate concepts before development investment
  • Present design rationale and decisions to senior stakeholders and clients
  • Define standards for research rigor, accessibility, and visual craft; run design critiques and mentor designers
  • Structure dense, multi-variable interfaces using information architecture and progressive disclosure
  • Make optimization outputs, scenario comparisons, constraint conflicts, and confidence legible to operators and executives
  • Develop multiple credible design approaches, weigh trade-offs, and establish reusable design patterns
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Operations Research, Marketing, and clients
  • Track usability outcomes, design system adoption, engineering self-sufficiency, information architecture adoption, stakeholder trust, and standards impact

Requirements

  • 8+ years designing digital products
  • At least 3 years as the design owner for a complex enterprise or technical web product end-to-end
  • Portfolio demonstrating depth in data-dense, web-first product design
  • Experience handling many interdependent controls, large data volumes, or expert workflows
  • Evidence of multiple design approaches to the same hard problem, with clear reasoning and trade-offs
  • Experience designing decision-support, analytics, simulation, planning, or configuration-heavy tools
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design work across research, flows, wireframes, prototypes, and finished UI
  • Advanced proficiency with Figma, including component architecture, variables, and interactive prototypes
  • Deep understanding of usability principles and accessibility standards (WCAG)
  • Experience building, owning, or significantly extending a design system
  • Experience leading design in fast-moving B2B or SaaS product environments, including 0-to-1 work under ambiguity
  • Experience setting design standards for a team or product and giving actionable critique
  • Eligible to work in Canada
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate design work is nice to have
  • Familiarity with design tokens, component APIs, and handoff tooling is nice to have
  • Exposure to supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, or other operational domains is welcome but not required
  • Knowledge of responsive design best practices is a plus
