About the role
- Senior DevOps Engineer supporting CI/CD for in-house applications at GDIT. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance environmental safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Support application servers (RHEL) with updates, user permissions, web application configuration management, and log management
- Participate in Agile ritual meetings
- Support CI/CD for applications that are developed in-house
- Assist in support of COTS applications such as Jenkins, Portainer, Slack, Atlassian Bitbucket
Requirements
- 5+ years of related experience required
- 3+ years experience in an Agile development framework such as Scrum or Kanban
- 3+ years experience with source code version control management
- 3+ years experience with Linux administration skills using technologies for web applications such as Apache, Nginx, and/or HAProxy
- DevOps CICD Tool Experience: Jenkins / Bamboo / Github actions
- Ability to implement through Source Code (IaC – Infrastructure as Code)
- Experience with containerized technologies such as Docker
- Required Soft Skills: Ability to prioritize and complete a wide variety of tasks with critical deadlines
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and professionally
