About the role
- Senior Software Developer building cloud microservices for Genetec’s digital-evidence platform. Improving SaaS reliability and developing secure self-service tools for public-sector investigative teams.
Responsibilities
- Participate in architectural decisions and help shape the technical evolution of the product
- Improve the performance, stability, and cost efficiency of production services
- Participate in the support rotation to ensure service stability and availability
- Build modern microservices-based applications using cutting-edge technologies and tools
- Participate in the full application development lifecycle, including testing and deployment (DevOps)
- Work in a SaaS environment with immediate customer impact
- Collaborate with developers, testers, designers, and product managers to deliver high-quality solutions
- Support and mentor team members through knowledge sharing and technical guidance
- Develop a self-service web portal and cloud-based solution for secure management and exchange of digital evidence for public sector organizations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of 5 years of software development experience
- Strong experience with C# and .NET
- Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
- Solid understanding of software design principles, distributed systems, and service-oriented architectures
- Experience developing cloud-based applications in a CI/CD environment, preferably Microsoft Azure
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent collaboration skills and willingness to share knowledge
- Fluency in French and English, verbal and written
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, observability, and production system operations is an asset
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform is an asset
- Experience with AMQP, MQTT, or other messaging protocols is an asset
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform is an asset
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is an asset
