About the role
- Senior software developer evolving Genetec’s internal cloud security platform. Building event-driven detections and operating secure production systems with DevOps automation.
Responsibilities
- Design and build event-driven security detections and platform capabilities
- Work closely with security and engineering stakeholders to identify relevant signals, enrichments, and decision points
- Operate and improve production systems with a focus on observability, performance, reliability, and cost awareness
- Own end-to-end delivery practices, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code
- Contribute to the long-term evolution of platform architecture and engineering standards
- Help evolve Genetec’s internal security platform
- Support platforms that manage credentials for employees and services and collect, analyze, and act on security events at scale
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and operating production software
- Strong software engineering fundamentals: clean design, maintainable code, and testability
- Comfortable working across multiple layers of a system, from code to cloud infrastructure
- Solid security culture: threat-aware design, least privilege, secure defaults, and practical cryptography
- Fluent in French and English, both verbal and written
- Experience operating cloud-based systems; Azure preferred but not required
- Strong DevOps and automation mindset, including CI/CD, containers, and infrastructure as code
- Hands-on experience running production systems, including logs, metrics, incidents, failure modes, and iterative hardening
- Experience with event streaming, messaging, or data pipeline architectures
- Familiarity with identity standards and protocols: SSH, OIDC, OAuth, PKI, SAML
- Exposure to security telemetry, detection logic, or anomaly-based systems
