About the role
- Lead the GridBeats™ R&D Protection and Control Engineering team at GE Vernova focusing on grid automation and protection innovation. Oversee project lifecycle, champion new technologies, and develop strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and guide a team of highly skilled protection and control engineers.
- Oversee the full project lifecycle for protection and control system, feature design, specification, simulation, modeling, implementation.
- Champion the adoption of new technologies for digital substation to enhance grid automation and protection.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to support integration of protection algorithms into products.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field; master’s degree a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in power system protection and control engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and developing a team of engineers.
- Proven record of writing and presenting papers at industry conferences
- Experience with industry standards and regulations related to power system protection and control.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical audiences.
