About the role
- Senior Developer Advocate showcasing GitLab’s DevSecOps platform and AI agent capabilities. Creating technical content, demos, and community engagement for developers across Canada and the United States.
Responsibilities
- Deeply understand GitLab's platform, especially its AI agent capabilities, and identify productive real-world use cases
- Create videos, blog posts, presentations, and social clips demonstrating GitLab use cases in the user interface and terminal
- Script, record, and edit product walkthroughs and demos
- Collaborate with GitLab's video team on longer or higher-production pieces
- Deliver product demos and participate in analyst briefings
- Engage customers through webinars, customer meetings, and other conversations
- Participate in developer communities through forums, Discord, social platforms, newsletters, and events
- Answer technical questions from the sales team
- Partner with support, sales, and product on developer-facing educational content
- Share product feedback with product teams and test new features
- Contribute to technical research and analysis of the developer tools landscape
- Travel up to 20% for events and customer meetings
Requirements
- Hands-on technical experience understanding how software gets built, with a focus on everything that happens after code is written
- Understanding of artificial intelligence and its use in software development, from coding through production
- Experience building and operating agentic systems and infrastructure
- Ability to explain technical products clearly through demos, walkthroughs, or conference presentations
- Fluency in developer social platforms
- Experience engaging with customers, developers, or technical communities
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across sales, engineering, product, and other teams
- Expected to incorporate AI into daily workflows
