Responsibilities
You will lead your team to build a resilient, flexible, and automated network infrastructure that enables GoTo’s development teams to reach their full potential.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable cloud networking solutions, ensuring high availability and security across all platforms, and promoting automation initiatives to optimize operations.
You will coordinate cross-functional projects, prioritize the team’s workload, and act as the primary escalation point for technical issues.
Maintaining strong relationships with vendors and service providers will be essential, as will mentoring team members, conducting regular performance reviews, and fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
You will also be responsible for capacity planning, establishing best practices, ensuring strict compliance with security standards and company policies, and managing costs in line with business objectives and industry benchmarks.
Finally, within a platform engineering organization, you will be responsible for deeply understanding your customers and stakeholders—their needs and initiatives—and managing the team roadmap to align with internal and external business outcomes.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in development and operations, network engineering, or networking operations, including management responsibilities
Experience managing and mentoring high-performing, geographically distributed teams
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, proficiency in English, and a customer-focused mindset
Proven ability to support the personal and professional development of your team by enabling career growth and establishing a culture of continuous improvement
Deep knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI) and experience designing and operating cloud networks
Expertise in infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or equivalent, and in automating CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
Broad understanding of modern networking concepts, protocols, and best practices, including network automation, monitoring, and security
