About the role
- Warehouse associate picking, packing, and shipping industrial products for Grainger, a leading industrial distributor. Operating scanners and handling packages safely in an onsite distribution center.
Responsibilities
- Safely and accurately complete warehouse tasks, including unloading, sorting, labeling, put away, replenishing, auditing, picking, and packing products
- Operate wrist-worn or hand-held scanning equipment to fulfill customer orders for shipping
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA and hazardous material requirements
- Collaborate with and assist other teams to meet safety, quality, productivity, behaviour, attendance, and overtime requirements
- Perform other tasks as directed by leadership
- Report to a DC Supervisor or Process Manager and interact regularly with other team members
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of work experience in a fast-paced and physically active job
- Ability to speak and understand written and spoken English
- Ability to work on your feet with exposure to heat, cold, noise, and dust
- Ability to work on or around moving equipment and elevated stations
- Ability to frequently lift, push, and slide packages typically weighing up to 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder heights
- Pass a pre-employment background check
