About the role
- Branch sales associate helping Grainger’s MRO customers with product selection, orders, pickups, and loading. Supporting sales goals through customer service, warehouse tasks, and branch upkeep.
Responsibilities
- Own the entire customer experience, including product selection, order entry and maintenance, product picking, and safely loading customer vehicles as needed
- Perform branch sales activities to capitalize on sales opportunities, encourage customer loyalty, and deliver revenue targets
- Navigate various computer systems and applications for customer-facing and warehouse activities
- Shift between assisting customers and branch tasks, including warehouse and showroom activities for pickup or shipping
- Perform housekeeping duties to maintain branch appearance according to Grainger standards
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience preferred
- Valid driver's license in good standing
- 1+ years experience in related field preferred
- Flexibility to work any time within branch hours of operation
- Ability to work in a position requiring continuous standing and walking
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted on a regular basis
- Ability to safely learn and operate powered industrial equipment
- Successful and timely completion of initial and ongoing training as required
- May be required to submit to customer alcohol and drug screening procedures for access to customer sites
- Pre-employment background checks are required for all external candidates
