About the role

  • Gartner Director Analyst shaping AI-driven technology operations guidance for CIOs. Conducting research, advising executives, and presenting modernization strategies to global clients.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic thought leader on technology implementation and operations for Gartner’s Business CIO & AI Leaders group
  • Build credibility as a Gartner expert on application modernization, AI integration into operations, and platform implementation
  • Drive global conversations about platforms and application modernization through Gartner and the media
  • Conduct research on global market trends, vendors, emerging technologies, and best practices
  • Participate in ideation and cohort discussions to establish positions on technical topics affecting CIOs
  • Lead qualitative and quantitative studies to develop insights for C-level clients
  • Improve research processes and develop new processes that deliver client value
  • Produce high-quality, actionable advice and evidence-based content for CIOs, AI leaders, and technology executives
  • Develop presentations explaining the evolving technology and operations landscape
  • Advise CIOs and IT executives on technology priorities amid changing geopolitical uncertainties
  • Deliver presentations through webinars, executive briefings, industry conferences, and Gartner events
  • Mentor global leaders and represent Gartner Business and Technology Insights

Requirements

  • 10+ years’ experience working as an information technology executive
  • AI experience in P&C insurance or government is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Deep technical background based on IT department engineering experience, such as platform engineering for AI, systems engineering, information security engineering, cloud engineering, or solutions architecture
  • Experience helping organizations become AI-ready by modernizing data architecture and cloud computing capacity for responsible, sustainable AI solutions
  • Intellectual curiosity and continuous learning mindset
  • Executive presence and ability to establish credibility with executives and stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, and presentation skills
  • Ability to explain complex concepts concisely and simply
  • Proficiency in analyzing and synthesizing data and applying patterns and frameworks to defend conclusions
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams in a multicultural global team
