Responsibilities

  • Responsible for health, safety, and wellness program development and implementation
  • Provide technical guidance and training on health and safety hazards
  • Collaborate with departments for effective program implementation
  • Conduct audits and assessments to identify workplace health and safety issues
  • Collect, analyze, and report on occupational health, safety, and wellness data
  • Deliver education and training programs

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education or certificate in occupational health and safety
  • Extensive years of experience driving results in occupational health and safety
  • Experience in a municipal, health care or community service organization preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge in delivering high quality services to client groups
  • Experience conducting ergonomic assessments preferred
  • Demonstrated consultation and auditing skills at all organizational levels
  • Extensive experience leading program development
  • Knowledge of employment and related legislation
