About the role

  • Bilingual French Mental Health Care Coordinator coordinating EFAP counselling and support services for Homewood Health, Canada’s mental health and addiction treatment provider. Conducting intake screening, risk assessments, referrals, and safety planning.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Employee and Family Assistance Program services, including counselling, legal, financial, and nutritional services, by phone and email
  • Match clients appropriately with services and clinical professionals
  • Enter client data into the electronic records system while responding to incoming calls
  • Identify crisis calls and conduct risk assessments
  • Coordinate transfers to specialists and provide safety planning when necessary
  • Respond to client complaints, challenges, and feedback regarding EFAP services and eligibility

Requirements

  • Excellent command of English and French, both verbal and written
  • University degree is preferable; however, a combination of experience and related education will be taken into consideration
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new systems
  • Ability to listen and remain calm and empathetic under stressful situations
  • Availability for days, afternoons, and nights in a 24/7 operation, including statutory holidays
  • Safe, quiet, confidential home office conducive to productive work and compliant with Occupational Health and Safety standards
  • Consistent internet capability of at least 75 Mbps download speed
  • Telephone must be physically connected by cable to the router
