About the role

Responsibilities
- Coordinate projects in accordance with regional management policies, principles, and procedures
- Collaborate with plant teams and corporate resources to develop effective automation solutions
- Train local teams on automation systems and programmable logic controller (PLC) programming
- Use design and visualization tools to develop and present automation solutions
- Prepare project budgets, cost estimates, and return-on-investment analyses
- Design, select, install, commission, and qualify automation equipment and systems
- Analyze manufacturing process issues, recommend improvements, and troubleshoot industrial control systems and industrial networks
- Develop and maintain technical specifications and standard operating procedures
- Perform any other related duties
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum of five (5) years of industrial automation experience in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience with PLC programming, operator interfaces (HMI), industrial control networks, and database management
- Valid driver's license and availability for frequent travel
- Bilingual (French and English) required
