About the role

Ingénieur·e en automatisation collaborant avec plusieurs installations pour développer des solutions d'automatisation. Fournissant un soutien technique dans un environnement manufacturier au sein d'Hydro.

Responsibilities

Coordinate projects in accordance with regional management policies, principles, and procedures
Collaborate with plant teams and corporate resources to develop effective automation solutions
Train local teams on automation systems and programmable logic controller (PLC) programming
Use design and visualization tools to develop and present automation solutions
Prepare project budgets, cost estimates, and return-on-investment analyses
Design, select, install, commission, and qualify automation equipment and systems
Analyze manufacturing process issues, recommend improvements, and troubleshoot industrial control systems and industrial networks
Develop and maintain technical specifications and standard operating procedures
Perform any other related duties

Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline
Minimum of five (5) years of industrial automation experience in a manufacturing environment
Minimum of five (5) years of experience with PLC programming, operator interfaces (HMI), industrial control networks, and database management
Valid driver's license and availability for frequent travel
Bilingual (French and English) required
