About the role
- Senior Cloud/DevOps Platform Engineer building secure Azure, AKS, and AI platforms for CDW, a technology solutions provider. Automating infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, and production operations.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support secure, scalable, and highly available platforms on Microsoft Azure
- Build and manage enterprise-grade Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) environments
- Develop Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform
- Design and maintain Azure DevOps YAML-based CI/CD pipelines
- Implement monitoring, logging, and observability using Datadog
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployments, and operational processes
- Partner with development, security, and architecture teams to improve platform reliability and developer productivity
- Support AI platform initiatives, including infrastructure and deployment patterns for Azure AI Foundry and Azure OpenAI services
- Perform production support, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering, OR 11+ years of total IT experience including 7+ years in those areas
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
- Deep expertise with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
- Experience building and supporting Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
- Hands-on experience with Datadog monitoring and observability
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native architectures
- Strong scripting skills using PowerShell, Python, or Bash
- Experience supporting enterprise production environments
- Experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, or AI/ML platform engineering, a plus
- Experience deploying, securing, and monitoring AI services in Azure environments, a plus
- Familiarity with AI application deployment patterns, prompt engineering workflows, model lifecycle management, or MLOps concepts, a plus
- Experience with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Flux, a plus
- Azure Certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400), a plus
- Kubernetes Certifications (CKA/CKAD), a plus
