About the role

  • IT delivery manager modernizing insurance claims systems for iA Financial Group, a Canadian insurance, savings, and wealth-management company. Leading DevOps, AI automation, reliability, and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and engage a multidisciplinary team of employees and external partners to ensure optimal IT delivery performance
  • Plan, prioritize, and balance workloads with RTEs, project managers, managers, and other stakeholders
  • Be accountable for IT solution delivery, service quality, and team operational performance
  • Accelerate integration of AI and automation into day-to-day delivery activities
  • Lead adoption of DevOps practices including CI/CD, automation, and observability
  • Establish and monitor DORA and other performance indicators to optimize efficiency and identify pain points
  • Manage critical incidents, escalations, and post-mortems to improve system reliability
  • Align priorities, strategies, and practices with IT teams and business partners
  • Contribute to system modernization initiatives and technical debt management across IT assets

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
  • At least 3 years managing multidisciplinary technical teams
  • Ability to contribute to technical content, not solely people management
  • Inspiring leadership, critical thinking, curiosity, creativity, and influencing skills
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, observability, and monitoring
  • Experience with delivery efficiency metrics: Lead Time, Deployment Frequency, Change Failure Rate, and MTTR
  • Ability to assess technical quality, including architecture, code, and automation
  • Ability to manage technology-related risks
  • Strong understanding of artificial intelligence models, their capabilities, limitations, and impact on solution delivery speed
  • Proficiency with Azure DevOps or Jira, Git, CI/CD pipelines, SonarQube or equivalent, and monitoring/observability tools
  • Ability to work in complex, evolving, and multidisciplinary environments
  • Ability to travel to Québec City headquarters once per month and attend a home office in Montréal or Québec City at least four times per month
  • Advanced French proficiency, spoken and written
  • Intermediate English proficiency for AI documentation, specialized training, and weekly meetings
  • Willingness to regularly read specialized English-language content
  • Previous experience as a Developer, Technical Lead, or Architect is an asset
  • SAFe, DevOps, AWS/Azure, or ITIL certifications are assets
