Responsibilities
- Participate in the analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment of integration solutions
- Design and develop APIs using an API-led connectivity approach
- Produce and maintain API specifications using RAML or OpenAPI, along with the associated contracts, examples, and policies
- Develop integration flows in Anypoint Studio and perform data transformations with DataWeave
- Apply integration patterns for synchronous, asynchronous, event-driven, and batch processing
- Secure APIs through authentication, authorization, encryption, and secure secrets management
- Measure and improve performance, robustness, resilience, observability, reusability, and test coverage
- Implement or use continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines for MuleSoft applications and APIs
- Configure and use API Manager, Exchange, Runtime Manager, and the Anypoint Platform runtime environments
- Participate in design discussions and technical decisions related to API standards, architecture, and governance
- Design error handling, recovery, logging, monitoring, and alerting
- Develop and maintain unit and integration tests with MUnit and contribute to code reviews
- Support production solutions through troubleshooting, incident resolution, maintenance, monitoring, and optimization
- Support documentation and promote the publication of reusable assets in Anypoint Exchange
- Take ownership of complex work and serve as a technical subject-matter expert
- Guide the team's technical decisions and contribute to the evolution of standards
- Collaborate on team activities, planning, Agile ceremonies, and the definition of done
- Occasionally perform production deployments and participate in operational support
Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in software development or integration, including significant experience with MuleSoft
- Demonstrated expertise with the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including Anypoint Studio, API Manager, Runtime Manager, and Anypoint Exchange
- Proficiency in designing and developing REST and SOAP APIs, as well as RAML and OpenAPI specifications
- Excellent knowledge of DataWeave and JSON, XML, and CSV formats
- Familiarity with service-oriented architectures, integration patterns, and event-driven environments
- Good understanding of API security principles, access management, and data protection
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and complex incident troubleshooting skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and positively influence team decisions
- Collaborative, self-directed, and quality-focused
- Intermediate English proficiency required
