About the role

Responsibilities

  • Ensure operational performance, quality, and continuity.
  • Oversee the teams responsible for operations and advisor support.
  • Lead operational activities and ensure their quality, efficiency, and continuity.
  • Plan resources and monitor SLAs to quickly resolve gaps and issues.
  • Oversee periodic and year-end activities, including statement production.
  • Ensure high-quality service for advisors and stakeholders.
  • Oversee the Advisor Services team and foster efficient, professional, and request-resolution-focused service.
  • Analyze volumes, recurring requests, and pain points to identify priority improvements.
  • Track KPIs and implement the necessary corrective actions.
  • Analyze data to anticipate issues and target improvements.
  • Maintain operational controls to reduce risks and errors.
  • Leverage technologies, including AI, to support analysis and performance.
  • Develop, review, and maintain operational policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Ensure procedures are documented, followed, and regularly updated.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Compliance, Finance, and FinOps teams and participate in operations-related audits.
  • Act as the primary business contact for vendors and fund companies.
  • Monitor platform-related issues, incidents, changes, and enhancement requests.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on changes and implementations affecting operations.
  • Lead, engage, and develop the employees under your responsibility.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, diligence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Finance, FinOps, Compliance, Innovation, Continuous Improvement, and other departments.
  • Participate in corporate projects that affect operations.
  • Act as a securities operations subject-matter expert for various teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of operations management experience at a securities brokerage firm, with strong knowledge of the industry and its regulatory environment.
  • Experience managing teams, supporting advisors, and monitoring performance (KPIs, SLAs, and controls).
  • Experience in process optimization, operational transformation, and change management.
  • Comfortable with new technologies, particularly artificial intelligence.
  • Leadership, diligence, analytical and problem-solving skills, results orientation, and collaborative approach.
  • Securities regulatory certifications are an asset.
  • Excellent bilingual proficiency in French and English.
