Responsibilities
Manage, develop, and mobilize the engineering team in Ontario to achieve business objectives
Provide coaching, regular follow-ups and feedback to team members
Mentor team’s technical and professional skills and facilitate continuous learning by developing solid professional development plans for employees
Implement procedures and policies and ensure that they are followed
Manage the team's budget and material resources by maintaining exceptional customer service
Develop, recommend, and implement management and organizational initiatives to support business strategies
Maintain strong business relationships with suppliers/vendors and other key partners
Collaborate with the Claims, Subrogation and Legal teams
Requirements
University degree in engineering
Member of the Professional Engineers Ontario or have the professional status for licensing
Have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the field of consulting for the cause and origin of insurance claims
Team management experience including remote management (an asset)
Advanced knowledge of codes and standards related to buildings and structures
