Responsibilities
Support the FinOps team as a Cloud Specialist in a multicloud environment
Collaborate with developers and business units to onboard and enable platform capabilities.
Build and maintain cost ingestion and normalization pipelines (CUR/Exports/BigQuery) into a common warehouse; ensure data quality and invoice reconciliation.
Implement and maintain end-to-end solutions across IT and business domains, enhancing platform performance through DevOps best practices.
Propose, execute, and manage automation strategies for software development and deployment using CI/CD pipelines (Github) and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
Lead and validate proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives to prototype solutions for large-scale deployment.
Perform code reviews, provide mentoring, and guide the team, with a focus on upskilling junior profiles in DevOps.
Design and implement robust, secure, and flexible deployment solutions.
Autonomously manage and, when necessary, escalate software/system observability issues.
Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure data needs are met by robust solutions.
Define and track key platform performance metrics to ensure proactive operational responses.
Prepare environment dashboards and manage alerts, reporting on health, usage, and availability.
Enable seamless multi-cloud/Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution integrations and manage configurations.
Produce, review, and maintain architecture documentation, defining best practice frameworks and guidelines.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
6+ years of DevOps experience, with significant expertise in cloud environments (AWS required, GCP and Azure are assets)
Experience and proficiency with CI/CD best practices using tools such as GitHub Actions
Strong programming skills in Python and experience with serverless technologies
Knowledge of Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes/Openshift
Experience designing ETL pipelines
Ability to build dashboards with tools like Power BI is a plus; open source tools are a plus
Ability to work collaboratively across infrastructure, engineering, finance, and business teams
For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
