About the role
- French-fluent manufacturing specialist challenging language models on industrial operations, quality, automation, and safety. Documenting model errors and improving prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.
Responsibilities
- Challenge advanced language models on manufacturing topics and document every failure mode
- Converse with the model in both English and French on real-world manufacturing scenarios and technical questions
- Verify factual accuracy and logical soundness
- Capture reproducible error traces
- Suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics
- Help train AI to support production processes, workforce training, and global manufacturing systems
Requirements
- Fluent in French
- Expertise in production systems, lean manufacturing, quality control, process optimization, industrial automation, supply chain management, and workplace safety
- Knowledge of standards and practices in French-speaking regions
- Ability to evaluate topics including Six Sigma, Kaizen, GMP, ISO standards, preventive maintenance, materials handling, CNC and robotics, OEE, and production scheduling
- Ability to converse with the model in both English and French on real-world manufacturing scenarios and technical questions
- Ability to verify factual accuracy and logical soundness
- Ability to capture reproducible error traces
- Ability to suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics
- Clear, metacognitive communication and ability to “show your work”
- Secure computer and high-speed internet
- Master's degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing, mechanical engineering, or a closely related field is ideal
- Professional certifications such as Lean Six Sigma or PMP are ideal
- Hands-on experience in manufacturing environments is ideal
