About the role
- Senior Elixir full-stack developer building AI computer-vision infrastructure at Invision AI. Designing cloud, edge, web, and real-time video systems for intelligent transportation.
Responsibilities
- Develop solutions for machine learning, image processing, and real-time video processing projects
- Design and develop cloud and edge infrastructure, web applications, and APIs
- Design and implement client-side and server-side architecture
- Recommend, implement, and manage supporting infrastructure for different product lines
- Build application front ends through appealing visual design
- Prototype new features and innovative solutions using cutting-edge technologies
- Write technical documentation
- Contribute to products focused on connectivity, performance, intelligent infrastructure, and transportation
Requirements
- 5-years' experience deploying web applications
- Experience with Elixir and Phoenix LiveView
- Experience with another framework (Django, Ruby on Rails), and relational databases
- Familiarity with Docker, Linux, and web servers such as Nginx or Apache
- Experience with Kubernetes deployment or a similar distributed system
- Experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or equivalent
- Experience designing web applications with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with modern Software Engineering principles and techniques such as Test-Driven Development and Continuous Integration
- Strong written and oral communication
- Solid understanding of web security issues and practices
- Bonus: Knowledge of GIS, Leaflet/Mapbox, Web Canvas, and PostGIS
- Bonus: Experience deploying in virtualized environments
- Bonus: Experience with NATS or similar
- Bonus: Experience with Python and TypeScript
- Bonus: Experience with serialization and communication protocols such as protobuf and gRPC
