About the role

Product Designer shaping text messaging, secure messaging, and notifications for Jane's clinic-management SaaS platform. Improving interaction design, consistency, and customer-focused communications experiences.

Responsibilities

Shape the Communications experience by designing interactions and introducing polished, human moments
Own smaller projects end to end, from understanding the problem to shipping improvements
Improve consistency across messaging surfaces by working within and championing Jane's design system
Partner closely with developers and pair with them day to day
Participate in customer research sessions and turn clinic feedback into prototypes and solutions
Build relationships with designers in neighbouring groups and go-to-market partners
Champion pragmatic, responsible AI adoption in design, using tools such as Claude Code
Help develop communications products including text messaging, secure messaging, and the staff notification centre
Connect product work from early ideas through launch and market introduction

Worked as a product designer in a commercial setting, ideally for at least 2 years
Shipped features to customers
Understanding of how a product team works, including collaboration among design, product management, and developers
Understanding of the software development lifecycle
Strong interaction design and visual craft skills
Attention to states, transitions, and microinteractions
Comfortable using Claude Code and Figma
Understanding of how to work within a design system
Bias to action and ability to pick up work without waiting for a ticket
Curiosity and confidence to ask questions and speak up
Openness to feedback
Currently living in Canada
Legal right to work in Canada without employer sponsorship
