About the role

  • Quality Supervisor improving manufacturing quality for JELD-WEN’s windows and doors. Leading SPC, FMEA, traceability, and continuous improvement across operations and suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Support and promote the facility’s quality improvement efforts
  • Work with employees, suppliers and customers to improve the quality and reliability of manufactured window and door products
  • Perform data gathering, decision making, problem solving, quality performance reporting and presentations with minimal supervision
  • Support process improvements to ensure the highest quality products
  • Help lead improvement initiatives relating to the quality of the manufacturing process safely and efficiently
  • Ensure customer satisfaction while reducing costs
  • Improve visibility and control into quality processes across manufacturing operations and supplier networks
  • Minimize scrap, rework and returned materials
  • Build product and process traceability into production
  • Improve communication and collaboration across engineering, procurement, manufacturing and distribution
  • Standardize processes for responding to adverse events
  • Update quality business processes as best practices emerge
  • Participate in cross-functional continuous improvement teams
  • Monitor adverse events in real time
  • Collect data from manufacturing cells and departments
  • Link operational metrics with financial metrics
  • Manage document management, traceability, SPC and dashboards
  • Manage NC/CAPA and automated product quality planning/FMEA
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or similar related equivalent
  • Three to five-year experience in a manufacturing environment with a well-rounded background in the quality field
  • Previous experience with ISO 9001 and ISO/TS 16949 standards
  • Five years of Lean manufacturing experience
  • Strong Microsoft computer knowledge
  • Knowledge of SPC (CPK, PPK)
  • Exceptional organizational, written, verbal communication and customer service skills
  • Understanding of KPIs relating to quality and customer satisfaction
  • Ability to drive measurable improvements in all areas of quality
  • Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining standards, methods, testing and evaluation of a data-driven quality program
  • Must comply with JELD-WEN EH&S and legal requirements
