About the role

  • JLL Operations Lead overseeing facilities maintenance across four British Columbia client sites. Managing preventive maintenance, vendors, work orders, and client service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and/or direct contract service requests efficiently with minimal disruption
  • Supervise and implement the preventative maintenance program
  • Ensure work in client spaces is completed with minimal disruption and adequate cleanup
  • Perform or supervise maintenance and monitor repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, and fire systems
  • Review monthly client service request summaries to identify and correct recurring operational problems
  • Evaluate vendors and suppliers for quality and competitive pricing
  • Prepare and submit work orders
  • Work with the client to approve and schedule tasks and projects
  • Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory
  • Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work by outside contractors
  • Perform additional duties as requested
  • Oversee Facilities Management scope at four client locations within British Columbia
  • Interact closely with the client to ensure expectations are met and exceptional service is provided
  • Support site administration, management reporting, and overall maintenance activities

Requirements

  • 5+ years of maintenance operations experience in an industrial environment
  • Supervisory and contract or management experience
  • Certified Electrician, HVAC technician, other trade certification, or an engineering degree is an asset
  • Ability to analyze various systems, determine causes of problems or malfunctions, and take corrective action
  • Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel
  • Must be available for call-in work and perform other duties as required
  • Agreement to undergo mandatory drug testing, including pre-employment, reasonable cause, post-incident, and random testing, to access client sites and equipment
