- Senior front-end developer building Jobber’s experimentation-driven marketing website for home-service businesses. Leading React, Next.js, CMS, performance, and AI-assisted development initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Build production features across Next.js, Sanity, React, and TypeScript
- Support and enhance the headful WordPress, PHP, and Twig environment across getjobber.com
- Contribute to and extend the shared component library and design system
- Own Core Web Vitals, accessibility, semantic markup, and resilient page performance
- Integrate APIs and structured content in Sanity and maintain Twig-templated WordPress components
- Write scalable, well-tested, well-organized code and drive engineering practices through code review
- Collaborate with developers on technical practices and project decisions
- Use AI coding tools, agents, MCP integrations, prompts, and automated workflows
- Define and benchmark team standards for AI-assisted development
- Architect and execute A/B and multivariate experiments across marketing flows
- Partner with CRO leads and data analysts on statistically sound, performant test variants
- Improve experimentation velocity, minimize flicker, ensure rendering accuracy, and reduce time to market
- Support SEO, LLM, and AI-search initiatives through structured data, performance, and rendering foundations
- Set technical patterns and direction
- Mentor and coach front-end developers
- Partner with the Engineering Manager on technical standards, code quality, and architecture
- Improve the stack, tooling, processes, and team documentation
Requirements
- Expert command of HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, accessibility, and web performance
- Several years building production applications
- Hands-on experience architecting and shipping complex A/B, multivariate, and personalized web experiments with measurable conversion outcomes
- Experience with web experimentation and feature flag platforms such as Kameleoon, Optimizely, VWO, or LaunchDarkly
- Experience with product analytics tools such as Amplitude or GA4
- Mastery of Next.js, React, TypeScript, and modern rendering strategies
- Experience working within a design system or maintaining a shared component library
- Experience modeling content in headless CMS platforms such as Sanity or Contentful
- Hands-on proficiency in traditional WordPress, PHP, and Twig templates
- Active day-to-day use of AI coding tools and a responsible approach to AI-assisted development
- Growth and experimentation mindset
- Technical leadership and mentoring experience
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt, prioritize amid ambiguity, and break complex problems into shippable pieces
- Back-end familiarity is nice to have
- Experience collaborating with designers in Figma is nice to have
- Must be based in Edmonton, Toronto, Vancouver, or Kitchener-Waterloo
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
