About the role

  • Staff Product Manager launching insurance, financing, banking, and spend products for Jobber’s small-business software platform. Leading zero-to-one discovery, partnerships, pilots, and scale.

Responsibilities

  • Discover, validate, and launch Jobber’s next generation of financial products in insurance, consumer financing, spend and money management, card offerings, and business banking
  • Own the product side of Jobber’s newest fintech bets
  • Identify which products Jobber should build, buy, or partner to deliver
  • Frame customer problems, size opportunities, and design and run lean validation experiments and pilots
  • Make evidence-based go/no-go recommendations
  • Lead build-vs-buy-vs-partner decisions involving embedded finance, banking-as-a-service, insurance, and lending partners
  • Evaluate partners on capabilities, economics, risk, and customer experience
  • Ship and scale first versions of new financial products
  • Define MVPs, sequence roadmaps, and iterate based on customer and market feedback
  • Partner with Design, Engineering, Data, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Finance, and GTM
  • Use qualitative and quantitative insights, unit economics, adoption signals, and risk performance to guide investment decisions
  • Elevate product thinking across the fintech group
  • Shape how PMs and leaders evaluate opportunities, frame trade-offs, and make decisions
  • Balance rapid validation with rigor needed to build durable, trustworthy financial products at scale

Requirements

  • Extensive product management experience with a proven track record of taking new products from concept to launch
  • Experience launching at least one financial product with meaningful revenue accountability ideally
  • Staff- or principal-level experience defining strategy across ambiguous problem spaces
  • Ability to influence without authority and shape organization-wide product direction
  • Deep familiarity with fintech products such as card issuing, spend management, business banking, insurance, or lending
  • Understanding of partner, risk, and compliance ecosystems
  • Exceptional product sense and commercial rigor
  • Ability to pressure-test unit economics and business cases
  • Bias for validated learning and ability to de-risk bets
  • Ability to connect customer insight to long-term business strategy and communicate clearly to senior stakeholders, external partners, and cross-functional teams
  • High bar for quality, ownership, and outcomes
  • Experience launching embedded fintech products in a vertical SaaS or platform business is a bonus
  • Experience working with banking-as-a-service or embedded finance providers, card networks, sponsor banks, insurance carriers or MGAs, or consumer lending partners is a bonus
  • Experience serving small businesses, particularly in home and field services, is a bonus
  • Must be based in Edmonton, Toronto, Vancouver, or Kitchener-Waterloo
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Must successfully complete a background check
  • Must attend the office at least 1 day per week according to the department schedule
