About the role

Senior SAP FICO AMS Consultant at Syntax responsible for Finance and Controlling processes across S/4HANA environments. Collaborates with technical teams and stakeholders for high-quality service delivery and process innovation in Finance.

Responsibilities

Provide end‑to‑end functional support for SAP FICO areas within AMS, including Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO), Asset Accounting (AA).
Lead incident resolution, problem management, and small enhancement delivery aligned with AMS SLAs and best practices.
Design, configure, and optimize SAP FICO solutions, ensuring adherence to clean‑core standards within S/4HANA.
Work with integration teams (MM, PP, SD) to ensure FICO alignment across supply chain and manufacturing processes.
Deliver configuration changes, and functional specifications for enhancements and interfaces.
Collaborate with customers to identify continuous improvement opportunities and automation within FICO processes.
Assist in migrations, conversions, and release management for FICO‑related components.
Provide mentorship and functional guidance to junior AMS consultants.

8–10 years of hands‑on SAP FICO experience with at least 2 full S/4HANA implementations.
Bi-lingual, English/French.
Strong expertise in Group Reporting and/or Product Costing
Broad functional knowledge across GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, and COPA.
Experience supporting or implementing SAP S/4HANA Cloud (Public or Private) FICO functionality preferred.
Deep understanding of integration points between FICO and other SAP modules (MM, SD, PP).
Proficiency in Fiori applications for Finance, and Universal Journal concepts.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with excellent stakeholder communication skills.
