- Personal Property Inventory Specialist assessing damaged contents and replacement valuations for J.S. Held, a global consulting firm. Conducting site inspections, analyzing inventory, and preparing appraisal reports.
Responsibilities
- Visit post-loss sites to inspect and collect information for estimates and reports on replacement costs and depreciated cash value of contents
- Perform valuations of contents on personal and commercial losses
- Conduct site inspections to qualify and quantify damaged contents
- Prepare replacement cost and depreciated cost appraisal reports
- Coordinate communications between all stakeholders
- Establish costs, depreciation, and location pricing impacts
- Review final appraisal packages for accuracy and completeness before submission and recommendation
- Complete internal and external training
- Perform additional assignments as directed by the manager
- Travel as required
- Collect information and photo-journal contents during site visits
- Analyze and compile data using estimating software, databases, and proprietary software
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle for transportation for company business
- Proficient computer knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn various electronic and manual estimating systems
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical skills and effective communication skills
- Previous experience in customer service
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required by the work site
- Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections
- Must be able to write reports of findings after inspections
- Willingness to travel locally, regionally, and for CAT response when needed
