About the role

  • Product Manager leading Kalkomey’s LMS for outdoor safety education. Owning course-authoring tools, interactive hunter education experiences, roadmaps, analytics, and AI initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Own the roadmaps and manage development of the internal course-authoring platform and consumer-facing interactive hunter safety course
  • Partner with content and curriculum teams to understand authoring workflows and translate needs into product requirements
  • Partner with engineering and design to design and ship interactive, game-like course experiences that improve learner engagement and completion
  • Identify and prioritize AI opportunities across content/course generation and personalized, adaptive learning experiences
  • Partner with engineering to ship AI-enabled product capabilities
  • Define success metrics for each project and monitor product analytics regularly to guide roadmap decisions
  • Collaborate with the Product Designer and Lead Engineer to build story maps
  • Track delivery in the project management platform
  • Publish weekly project updates and release notes
  • Manage scope and resources to meet externally set course launch deadlines
  • Report to the SVP of Product during the one-year contract engagement

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience
  • Experience spanning internal/platform tools and consumer-facing digital products is ideal
  • Proven experience owning product strategy and roadmap for at least one product or platform end-to-end, from opportunity identification through launch
  • Strong project management skills, including sequencing work and managing scope and resources through launch and iteration
  • Familiarity with LMS or CMS platforms and/or course-authoring tools such as Articulate 360
  • Ability to define KPIs, run experiments, and use data to guide roadmap decisions
  • Genuine curiosity about how AI can accelerate content creation and personalize learning experiences, with judgment about where it helps and where it doesn’t
  • Comfort partnering directly with engineering and design without formal authority
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Background in content strategy, instructional design, or educational content development is a bonus
  • Experience in product design, game design, or game development, particularly gamified or game-like learning mechanics, is a bonus
  • Hands-on experience with Articulate 360, Captivate, or similar authoring tools is a bonus
  • Background in edtech, SaaS, or consumer-facing digital products is a bonus
  • Background in or genuine curiosity about the outdoors is a bonus
