Sustaining Electrical Engineer improving electronics for Kardium’s Globe Pulsed Field System, a medical device treating atrial fibrillation. Reducing component supply risks through qualification, design changes, testing, and supplier coordination.
Responsibilities
Monitor component supply status and significant changes in component availability
Proactively seek alternates for important single-source components
Respond to component shortages and source alternate parts when required
Coordinate or perform component qualification through completion
Implement design changes
Work with suppliers on scheduling, quoting, and obtaining samples
Support test development, root cause investigations, and new product introduction
Perform complex system-level testing and debugging
Help ensure advanced electronics thrive during expanding production and commercial clinical use
Work collaboratively to minimize supply interruptions and improve availability of the Globe Pulsed Field System
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
Experience with electronics CAD tools
Board-level analog and digital circuit design experience
Proven ability to meet tight timelines
Structured, logical thinking with excellent judgment and a pragmatic work approach
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interface across multiple disciplines, functions, and organizational levels
Proficiency with test and measurement equipment
Strong drive to succeed and track record of high productivity
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to deal with changing priorities and requirements
Ability to execute tasks with minimal instruction and guidance
Ability to rapidly understand new concepts and acquire new skills
Experience with medical device design and quality requirements (nice to have)
Experience using Altium Designer (nice to have)
