About the role
- Senior Software Developer creating C++ optimization algorithms and mathematical models for Kinaxis’s AI-powered supply-chain orchestration platform. Designing testing strategies and commercial software for global customers.
Responsibilities
- Investigate novel techniques combining class leading heuristics with optimization
- Translate real world Supply Chain Management use cases into mathematical models
- Lead the design and implementation of mathematical models
- Define test strategies and develop comprehensive test plans
- Write unit testing, integration testing, and debugging to ensure robust and error-free software
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing
- Collaborate closely with agile team members and other stakeholders
- Help shape Kinaxis’s future direction as it moves into new markets
Requirements
- MSc or PhD in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Track record of delivering commercial software
- Working knowledge of C++, including object-oriented design, design patterns, and unit testing
- Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as C++, C#, or Python
- Strong algorithmic thinking
- Knowledge of data structures and algorithms
- Experience creating mathematical models of real-world optimization problems
- Experience with commercial solvers such as Gurobi, Xpress, or CPLEX
- Ability to design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing
- Ability to apply AI or other tooling to accelerate the software development lifecycle while maintaining architectural consistency, secure design, and code-quality standards
- Ability to rigorously review AI-generated code for correctness, architectural fit, integration risk, and edge-case support
- Willingness to work across language boundaries
- Nice to have knowledge of machine learning models and algorithms
- Nice to have knowledge of Supply Chain Management, including Demand Planning, MRP, S&OP, and Capacity Planning
