About the role

Service Supervisor overseeing mining equipment technicians for Liebherr-Canada. Leading safe repairs, maintenance programs, troubleshooting, inventory, and contractor work at Sparwood’s mining project.

Responsibilities

Supervise Electrical and Mechanical Technicians and apprentice Technicians
Support Technicians with technical information and troubleshooting
Ensure technicians follow all site and Liebherr safety policies and procedures
Assist with and provide input on customer job scopes
Maintain accurate inventory of onsite Liebherr tools
Monitor and control cost-effective purchasing of consumables
Provide leadership, support and representation for site technicians
Work closely with customers on requests and concerns
Prepare and implement equipment maintenance programs with the National Service Manager
Assign work orders and jobs to technicians and monitor job time in and out
Distribute and support technical improvement and service bulletins
Supervise and oversee contractors performing work on Liebherr equipment
Ensure technicians complete repairs correctly the first time
Perform other duties as assigned

Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician Certificate or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years experience in heavy equipment, mining or related fields as a Service Supervisor
Strong computer and administrative skills
