About the role
- Service Supervisor overseeing mining equipment technicians for Liebherr-Canada. Leading safe repairs, maintenance programs, troubleshooting, inventory, and contractor work at Sparwood’s mining project.
Responsibilities
- Supervise Electrical and Mechanical Technicians and apprentice Technicians
- Support Technicians with technical information and troubleshooting
- Ensure technicians follow all site and Liebherr safety policies and procedures
- Assist with and provide input on customer job scopes
- Maintain accurate inventory of onsite Liebherr tools
- Monitor and control cost-effective purchasing of consumables
- Provide leadership, support and representation for site technicians
- Work closely with customers on requests and concerns
- Prepare and implement equipment maintenance programs with the National Service Manager
- Assign work orders and jobs to technicians and monitor job time in and out
- Distribute and support technical improvement and service bulletins
- Supervise and oversee contractors performing work on Liebherr equipment
- Ensure technicians complete repairs correctly the first time
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician Certificate or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years experience in heavy equipment, mining or related fields as a Service Supervisor
- Strong computer and administrative skills
- Strong organizational and project planning skills
- Proven diagnostic skills
