About the role
- Senior Infrastructure Engineer building distributed systems, cloud tooling, and real-time data infrastructure. Supporting Liftoff’s AI-powered performance marketing platform for the mobile app economy.
Responsibilities
- Build tooling for managing and monitoring thousands of servers running dozens of services
- Develop host provisioning and configuration systems
- Enable rapid code deployment
- Build service configuration and monitoring tools
- Automate code testing and linting
- Own infrastructure powering real-time data pipelines moving hundreds of TB of data daily
- Have end-to-end ownership of projects
- Collaborate with a small team of engineers
- Ship code multiple times a day and measure its impact on users and revenue
- Participate in engineering excellence through testing, explainable systems, and code review
- Develop expertise in Go and open-source technologies
Requirements
- Strong coding ability; experience in Go is a plus but not necessary
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Solid computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and systems architecture
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience building high-scale distributed systems and backend architectures
- Genuine interest and/or experience debugging and troubleshooting complex distributed systems problems
- Expertise in managing Kafka is nice to have
