About the role
- Staff ERP Application Engineer overseeing NetSuite ecosystem design and development for a global micromobility leader. Focused on financial operations and intercompany integrations in a collaborative remote environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex NetSuite engineering projects
- Establish architectural designs while writing SuiteScript and building custom solutions
- Develop, customize, and optimize NetSuite modules focusing on global business requirements
- Architect, build, and maintain robust integrations and automated data pipelines between NetSuite and Coupa
- Streamline accounting and supply chain operations using SuiteFlow and SuiteScript
- Ensure platform security and audit readiness by implementing role-based access controls, data security policies, and SOX compliance measures
- Partner with Enterprise Product Managers and corporate business teams
- Develop and enforce coding and technical design standards, conducting peer code reviews
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers
- Stay up to date with NetSuite bi-annual releases, managing impact analyses and recommending optimizations
- Hands-on experience building and maturing NetSuite-SDF and GitHub-based CI/CD pipelines for version-controlled customization and automated deployment
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in ERP development
- 7+ years of dedicated technical expertise in NetSuite development and hands-on SuiteScript architecture
- Deep end-to-end NetSuite architecture and techno-functional expertise across Fixed Asset Management (FAM), Landed Cost (LC), General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Cash Management, and Intercompany transactions
- Strong understanding of how procurement and inventory flows drive landed cost allocation, asset capitalization, reconciliation, and downstream GL impact and supporting multi-subsidiary, multi-currency, and global finance operations within NetSuite OneWorld environments
- Proven experience customizing and configuring NetSuite Fixed Asset Management (FAM) and complex Landed Cost allocation models
- Deep understanding of custom GL impacts, multi-currency transactions, automated intercompany eliminations
- Proven experience architecting, configuring, and optimizing NetSuite AP processes
- Hands-on experience architecting and building complex, automated workflows connecting Coupa to NetSuite
- Working understanding of Transfer Orders (TOs), Item Receipts (IRs), and Item Fulfillments (IFs)
- Expert-level proficiency with the SuiteCloud customization platform
- Hands-on experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) languages like Java or Python
- Strong understanding of SQL for custom reporting/analytics
- Strong background working in compliance-driven environments navigating strict SOX, GDPR, or asset-tracking controls
- Experience evaluating and implementing AI-driven solutions across ERP and adjacent business systems to improve financial operations
- Familiarity with broader enterprise SaaS tools
- Experience working within Agile methodologies and DevOps practices in an ERP landscape
- Proficient working with modern web formats and protocols, including JavaScript, Node.js, XML, and JSON
- Deeply proficient with standard SDLC and enterprise change-management procedures
- Certification: Oracle NetSuite Certified ERP Consultant & SuiteCloud Developer preferred; SuiteFoundation or NetSuite Administrator certification is a plus.
