About the role
- Senior Application Security Engineer leading Trimble’s global SCA and SAST strategy. Embedding automated security into CI/CD pipelines across diverse technology stacks.
Responsibilities
- Act as the global subject matter expert for SCA and SAST
- Develop scalable, automated application security solutions
- Optimize security tooling to reduce false positives and improve developer experience
- Shape the organizational approach to open-source security and license compliance
- Collaborate with architects and product owners worldwide to embed security into the SDLC
- Build automated security guardrails within CI/CD pipelines
- Mentor security talent and lead through influence across cross-functional teams
- Evaluate emerging security technologies
- Conduct threat modeling and architectural reviews
- Lead SCA and SAST roadmaps and advise stakeholders on application security strategy
Requirements
- 5+ years in Application Security (60+ months)
- Deep, enterprise-level experience implementing SCA and SAST
- Ability to read Java, C#, Python, or Go code and provide remediation paths
- Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI
- Ability to translate security risk into business value and clear actions for engineers
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
