About the role
- Security Consultant deploying Microsoft Defender and architecture solutions for Long View, a North American IT provider. Driving client implementations, workshops, and security adoption.
Responsibilities
- Implement industry-leading cloud and Microsoft security technical solutions based on client requirements
- Deploy the Microsoft Defender suite into client environments
- Present client workshops upon project completion
- Provide conceptual, logical, and physical designs
- Produce bills of material, as-built diagrams, knowledge transfer materials, FAQs, and transition-to-operations information
- Deliver projects from initiation through successful implementation as a subject matter expert
- Validate clients’ existing architecture and identify gaps
- Assist business and technical teams with gathering business use cases
- Plan and drive adoption of technologies that solve security challenges
- Support Long View’s Head Office branch
Requirements
- 5+ years of industry experience with multi-technology solutions and diverse business and technical consulting
- Experience delivering the Microsoft Security suite
- Ability to implement Microsoft security components, including Defender for Cloud, Defender for Identity, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, and Conditional Access
- Strong understanding of security architecture patterns for secure architecture and implementation
- Ability to consult on designs and create implementation plans
- Experience with security frameworks such as NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, and CIS for assessing systems and designs
- Deep and experienced understanding of the Microsoft technology stack
- Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CCSP are extra awesome/preferred
- Ability to lead customers and clients to decisions
- Ability to communicate and drive recommendations and strategies
