About the role

  • Mortgage Specialist Associate facilitating Manulife Bank mortgage sales and application processing. Managing documentation, appraisals, CRM updates, and deal submissions.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the sale of Manulife Bank’s mortgage solutions
  • Collect required client documentation and supporting notes
  • Package and submit mortgage deals accurately to expedite decision-making
  • Achieve quotas related to successful deal submissions and fundings
  • Work directly with Mortgage Specialists to gather information and answer questions
  • Maintain client engagement throughout the mortgage application process
  • Collect, package, and review documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Order appraisals and liaise with Mortgage Specialists, lending insurers, and title insurers
  • Address head office inquiries, explain policies, provide information, and resolve issues
  • Coordinate field activities and direct business to the appropriate bank servicing unit
  • Use Salesforce.com and other CRM tools to update file status
  • Provide reports to Mortgage Specialists and Regional Vice Presidents

Requirements

  • 2+ years of previous experience in residential mortgage administration
  • Ability to influence and communicate effectively with Mortgage Specialists
  • Solid financial services and banking industry knowledge
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Well organized with effective time management skills
  • Highly proficient in Excel and other office applications
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in business is an asset
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Multitasking and creative problem-solving skills
  • Positive and cooperative attitude
  • Strong collaborative, administrative, and follow-up skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Ability to take initiative with a motivated, competitive mindset

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and time deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal relationship-building and listening skills
  • Bilingualism in English and French is a strong asset; required in Québec to support clients from various provinces outside Québec
