About the role
- Senior Solution Architect driving cloud-native, AI, and digital transformation initiatives for Manulife’s financial services business. Designing secure architectures and guiding modernization across technology and business teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead technology innovation and digital transformation solutions to deliver measurable business outcomes
- Design and implement scalable, resilient, and secure cloud-native architectures
- Champion AI adoption for automation, process optimization, and architecture modernization
- Conduct POCs, technical assessments, and feasibility studies
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and engineering teams to translate requirements into technical blueprints
- Ensure compliance with security, data governance, and regulatory standards
- Prepare and present solution architectures in local governance forums
- Act as an internal consultant to craft business transformation proposals and lead implementation through interim architectures
- Evaluate vendor solutions for architecture risk, security, resiliency, and availability
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect with strong exposure to digital transformation
- Solid understanding of Generative AI technologies
- Expertise in cloud-native solutions and cloud platforms, including Azure and AWS
- Strong knowledge of application security, architectural frameworks, and engineering best practices, including Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD
- Familiarity with architecture as code
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Experience in large-scale digital transformation projects within financial services or insurance preferred
- Certifications in cloud platforms or AI technologies are a plus
- Insurance domain knowledge is a plus
