About the role
- Accountant managing bookkeeping, reconciliations, and AR/AP across Canada and the US for Marble's regulated-data access platform. Improving reporting and growing into ownership of US accounting.
Responsibilities
- Run month-end bookkeeping, reconciliations, and invoicing for both Canada and the US on a consistent monthly cadence
- Own weekly general ledger entries and monthly bank, credit card, and GL reconciliations
- Own accounts receivable by invoicing customers promptly and following up on outstanding balances
- Own accounts payable by processing and coordinating vendor invoice payments on schedule
- Improve reporting capabilities so company-wide reporting becomes faster and sharper
- Grow into full end-to-end ownership of US accounting processes
- Report to the Finance Manager
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as an accountant, bookkeeper, or in a similar accounting role
- Experience with the full-cycle accounting process
- Extensive experience with data entry and accurate record-keeping
- Strong attention to detail and ability to problem-solve independently
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently to tight deadlines
- Successful candidates must undergo a background check
