About the role

  • Senior Supply Chain Finance Manager leading analytics, planning, and cost savings for Champion Petfoods’ premium pet food business. Partnering across Purchasing, Operations, Engineering, Accounting, and leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead supply chain reporting and analytics for the company
  • Business partner with the Purchasing team to support input cost planning, reconciliation, and reporting
  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain team to develop inventory management insights, reports, and target measurements
  • Support Engineering with capital budgeting, planning, cost control, and review
  • Facilitate planning and execution tracking for Value Creation cost-savings projects across the value chain
  • Support annual plan development, including product costings and cost-of-goods planning
  • Prepare ad hoc reports, financial reviews, and special projects as directed by leadership
  • Collaborate with Accounting during period close and provide analysis of financial results and variances versus forecasts and budgets
  • Enable sustainability initiatives through budgeting, accounting recognition, and reporting rigor
  • Contribute to performance reviews across supply and leadership review meetings (S&OP+ steps)
  • Provide advice, training, and guidance to staff when necessary
  • Perform other assigned responsibilities
  • Report to the VP of Finance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in business
  • MBA/CPA preferred
  • 8-10+ years of related experience, ideally in a Consumer Products environment
  • Strong analytical skills through experience working on complex transactions
  • Strong knowledge of financial metrics
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a rapidly changing environment
  • Proven ability to build relationships at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Strong communication skills, demonstrated in written and verbal report writing
  • Self-starter with previous experience of working in a high performing environment
  • Responsive, with a strong ability in anticipating needs and delivering on commitments
  • Proven ability to identify, evaluate, develop new ideas and deliver results
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Detail oriented and accurate
  • Highly proficient in Excel
  • Working extended days and weekends as necessary
