About the role

  • Engineering Intern at MHI RJ Aviation supporting structural repair design for damaged aircraft. Collaborating with experienced engineers to ensure compliance and optimal repair solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Be part of the In-service engineering team assigned to the design of structural repair schemes for damaged in-service aircraft, in accordance with Regulatory Body (TC, FAA, EASA, etc.) and MHIRJ Design requirements.
  • Perform repair sizing, select structural configurations and materials (metallic and composites structures) for preparing optimized repair schemes, while meeting customers’ tight schedules and deadlines.
  • Review prepared repair solutions and submit them for compliance review and approval to a Transport Canada Representative (DAD).
  • Participate in the design and support of structural modifications
  • Participate in the continuous improvement initiatives of the Customer Support organization.

Requirements

  • Are enrolled in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with a relevant experience in the aerospace industry;
  • You have detailed knowledge of CATIA V5 and Enovia;
  • You have detailed knowledge of aircraft structure repair;
  • You have knowledge of MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.);
  • You are customer oriented, organized, able to manage your time and prioritize tasks effectively, while working toward tight deadlines;
  • You have strong, written and spoken, communication skills in English. French is an asset;
  • Having detailed knowledge of airline operation, engineering and maintenance is an asset
