About the role

  • Treasury and Operations Manager overseeing digital asset custody, liquidity, reconciliation, and compliance operations. Supporting Moomoo Canada’s regulated online brokerage and wealth management platform.

Responsibilities

  • Administer digital asset wallets and custody infrastructure across Fireblocks, Coinbase, BitGo, and other approved providers
  • Manage client deposit wallets, operational vault accounts, wallet whitelisting, transaction approvals, wallet policies, and authorized addresses
  • Oversee client digital asset deposit sweeps, fund attribution, transaction limits, approval workflows, and issue resolution
  • Perform and oversee daily reconciliation of on-chain wallets, custodian records, internal ledgers, client sub-ledgers, and trading and settlement records
  • Monitor liquidity across custodians, trading venues, and digital asset infrastructure providers; forecast funding needs and execute liquidity rebalancing
  • Support staking operations, including delegation, staking and unstaking, rewards tracking, and reconciliation
  • Coordinate transaction-related compliance escalations, including KYT alerts, Travel Rule exceptions, fraud alerts, holds, restrictions, freezes, and releases
  • Prepare documentation for regulatory reporting, examinations, audits, SOC examinations, and assurance activities
  • Own and improve treasury procedures, approval matrices, controls, maker-checker processes, and segregation of duties
  • Manage operational relationships with treasury and digital asset infrastructure vendors and counterparties
  • Produce daily, weekly, and monthly treasury reporting and management information
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and support new asset listings, integrations, wallet deployments, incident response, business continuity, and team training

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • Approximately 5+ years of relevant experience in treasury, brokerage operations, banking operations, payments, custody, digital assets, securities operations, or related financial services
  • Prior experience in a regulated financial institution, broker-dealer, investment dealer, fintech, cryptocurrency platform, or digital asset business is strongly preferred
  • Experience with cash, securities, or digital asset reconciliation and settlement processes
  • Experience managing operational controls, approval workflows, segregation of duties, and exception management
  • Familiarity with digital asset custody and wallet infrastructure such as Fireblocks, Coinbase, BitGo, or similar platforms is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of blockchain transaction flows, wallet architecture, on-chain transactions, and digital asset settlement processes is an asset
  • Familiarity with blockchain analytics, Travel Rule, fraud monitoring, or transaction-monitoring platforms such as Chainalysis, Notabene, or Unit21 is an asset
  • Experience supporting audits, regulatory examinations, or operational control assessments is preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and experience with operational reporting, reconciliations, and large data sets
  • Strong understanding of treasury operations, liquidity management, reconciliations, settlements, and operational risk
  • Strong knowledge of internal controls, segregation of duties, maker-checker principles, and approval governance
  • High accuracy and attention to detail when handling client assets and financial transactions
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills for resolving complex reconciliation or transaction issues
  • Ability to work across Finance, Compliance, Risk, Technology, Trading, and Operations
  • Strong judgment and escalation skills for high-value transactions, operational incidents, and compliance concerns
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and time-sensitive operational requirements in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to develop clear procedures, controls, and operational documentation
  • Comfort working in an evolving regulatory and technology environment
  • Experience within the Canadian securities or investment dealer industry is preferred
  • Familiarity with CIRO requirements relating to client assets, books and records, internal controls, custody, and regulatory reporting is preferred
  • Experience supporting cryptocurrency trading, digital asset custody, staking, or blockchain-based financial products is preferred
  • Experience participating in new product launches or treasury and custody infrastructure implementation is preferred
  • Familiarity with SOC reports, control testing, operational risk assessments, and audit remediation is preferred
