Intelligence Analyst conducting OSINT investigations and risk assessments for Moonshot, protecting people and organizations from online threats.
Producing actionable intelligence, client briefings, and threat classifications from social media and open-source data.
Responsibilities
Conduct daily monitoring and OSINT investigations into online harms, including impersonation, stalking, NCII/deepfake content, doxxing, and threat attribution.
Lead the development of risk assessments and threat classifications.
Distill large volumes of social media and open source data into clear, actionable analysis.
Develop reports and briefings tailored to client requirements.
Escalate high priority threats and support communication with platform trust and safety contacts, legal teams, and law enforcement partners.
Manage reporting schedules across multiple concurrent accounts while balancing time, scope, and quality.
Contribute to the evolution of Moonshot's investigative methodology and tools.
Define intelligence requirements, conduct ongoing monitoring across client accounts, and run discrete digital investigations into specific incidents.
Provide expert guidance to clients and contribute actionable insights.
Requirements
Professional experience conducting OSINT investigations or intelligence analysis in a government agency, fusion centre, law enforcement body, corporate or executive security function, GSOC, or comparable intelligence environment.
Strong OSINT and social media investigation skills, with the ability to work independently through large, messy datasets.
Understanding of the intelligence cycle, including defining requirements, building a collection plan, and producing analysis.
Sound judgment on threat credibility and ability to assess risk based on intent and capability.
Ability to manage competing deadlines and shifting priorities across multiple accounts without sacrificing quality.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work through ambiguous or incomplete information.
Strong written communication skills and ability to translate findings into clear, actionable outputs.
Track record of producing investigative or intelligence products for internal or client stakeholders.
Comfort regularly reviewing sensitive and potentially distressing content related to violence, abuse, or exploitation.
Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.
Ability to work independently day to day.
Willingness to occasionally be on call and work outside regular hours for urgent client needs or special events.
Must be eligible to work in Canada.
Must pass a standard background check and relevant security clearance procedures as required by clients.
Experience using AI tools for research or writing workflows, or strong interest in learning to use them.
