Director of Engineering driving AI orchestration product and leading engineering team at Nesto in Canada. Leading rapid development and aligning technical solutions with business goals.

Responsibilities

Define, communicate, and rapidly execute the technical direction for nesto’s dedicated AI stream, making bold, data-informed decisions
Relentlessly drive the strategy and rapid development of our AI orchestration product, and the broader AI platform, from MVP to large-scale adoption
Manage, mentor, and grow a lean, high-impact group of engineering leads and individual contributors within the AI pods, setting a high bar for speed and quality
Collaborate closely with product and business leaders to rapidly align technical solutions with company goals and ship impactful outcomes
Foster a culture of technical excellence, aggressive experimentation, and rapid iteration within the engineering organization.

5+ years of proven experience in engineering leadership, including leading people and other managers in high-growth startup or scale-up environments
Proven track record of rapidly building, launching, and scaling large-scale SaaS products in competitive markets
Deep expertise in applied AI and machine learning implementations at scale, with a history of shipping AI-powered features to production
Strong technical leadership with the ability to simplify complex architectural challenges and make high-stakes decisions quickly with incomplete information
Experience rapidly scaling teams and establishing pragmatic engineering best practices in a fast-paced, continuously changing environment.
