About the role

Salesforce QA Automation Developer testing nesto’s mortgage technology platform for Canadian lenders. Building Playwright automation, managing Salesforce environments, and supporting CI/CD releases.

Responsibilities

Review manual test cases for Salesforce customizations and assess suitability for automation
Support, maintain, and enhance test case automation during iterative development, system testing, and regression testing across Salesforce releases
Review user stories and functional requirements to ensure test coverage across standard and custom Salesforce objects
Assist with manual testing by executing test cases and scripts using test management/tracking tools
Create and maintain test plans, cases, scenarios, and scripts according to QA standards and methodologies
Develop robust test data management strategies
Establish, configure, and maintain Salesforce testing environments, including Sandboxes and Scratch Orgs
Participate in development, deployment, and administration of QA processes, tools, and CI/CD technologies within Salesforce
Design, create, and execute automation scripts using Playwright or other tools for Salesforce Lightning interfaces, dynamic IDs, and Shadow DOM components

3+ years of experience with software testing, including significant experience testing Salesforce applications such as Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Community Cloud
2+ years of experience with automated functional testing tools, preferably Playwright
Experience overcoming common Salesforce automation hurdles
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Deep understanding of Salesforce security models, including Profiles, Permission Sets, and Sharing Rules
Experience with Postman for API testing, specifically Salesforce REST and Bulk API
Experience with X-ray or similar test management tools integrated with Jira
Experience with Agile methodologies, frequent release cycles, and Salesforce deployment processes such as Salesforce DX, Copado, Flosum, or standard CI/CD pipelines
Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Git
Familiarity with SOQL and basic understanding of Apex
Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Administrator or Platform App Builder are a strong asset
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science is an asset
