About the role

  • Supply Chain Business Analyst improving procurement visibility, forecasting, and KPI performance for New Flyer, a North American heavy-duty transit bus manufacturer. Developing Power BI and Excel tools for supply-chain leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the NFI Group Supply Chain to achieve effective key performance indicators (KPI) and process improvements
  • Serve as an integral resource for Purchasing and Supply leadership
  • Develop complex Power BI and Excel tools to streamline day-to-day operations and improve supply chain visibility
  • Provide comprehensive past and future part demand reports to key stakeholders
  • Build and maintain a Purchasing and Supply dashboard to track department health and measure real-time performance against strategic targets
  • Conduct root-cause analysis into missed targets and provide actionable insights to leadership teams
  • Provide accurate, timely forecast data to long-lead-time suppliers to ensure continuity of supply
  • Analyze Master Schedule changes and communicate critical impacts to internal stakeholders
  • Assist in developing, communicating, and deploying departmental policies, guidelines, and tools
  • Identify key opportunities for process enhancements

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years in an analyst role with strong process systems experience
  • Very strong understanding and knowledge of supply chain, especially Purchasing, Planning, and Inventory Management
  • Demonstrated aptitude for identifying, evaluating, improving, and streamlining complex work processes
  • Advanced problem-solving skills with ability to generate workable solutions in a timely manner
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Prior working knowledge of an ERP data management system considered an asset (Oracle, SQL, Power BI)
  • Project management experience considered an asset
  • Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
